A closer look at our engineering experience, research foundation, and approach to technical advisory.
Every engagement begins with understanding the challenge, evaluating the evidence, and developing practical pathways forward.
From vehicle safety and fleet performance to reliability, industrial energy, simulation, emissions, and technical training, explore the engineering advisory services we deliver. Pick a category to see what's inside.
We wrote vehicle safety standards and designed testing laboratories for a road-safety authority serving a province of 110M+ people, twice, and ran a national engine-testing and fuel-octane program as principal investigators. Homologation support (UNECE WP.29, GB, ADR), powertrain and emissions analysis, and EV-transition advisory.
As investigators on a metropolitan bus-fleet evaluation, we separated vehicle effects from duty-cycle and maintenance effects using the operator's own records. Fleet TCO and lifecycle cost analysis, fuel-economy benchmarking, zero-emission transition analytics, and alternative-fuel conversion second opinions.
Independent FEA design review to CMAA-70, AISC, and BS codes, root-cause failure analysis, and lightweighting with documented mass reductions of up to 30%. We verify supplier simulations, so a vendor's model is never the only model you trust.
Compressed-air and utility audits across 12 industrial plants, exergy analysis, and plant emissions optimization using neural-network and Monte-Carlo methods on real CEMS data. We quantify leaks, losses, and the cost case for fixing them, for plants, utilities, and infrastructure operators.
Reliability-centered maintenance designed at a UK semiconductor fab, FMEA-based program design, and CMMS data mining that justifies the shift from reactive to planned maintenance, with the cost case included.
DOE-based parameter optimization for drilling, turning, and EDM; tooling-claim second opinions; and technology-intelligence mapping that shows where a manufacturing technology actually stands, before you invest in it.
Peer-reviewed wind-resource statistics, hybrid and solar-thermal systems analysis, and BESS thermal modeling. Wind resource assessment, techno-economic feasibility (LCOE, NPV, payback), and second opinions on third-party feasibility claims, the independent check before money moves.
Our heat-exchanger CFD review is among the most-cited in its field, and our flow-induced-vibration work ran in a research wind tunnel. FIV screening, maldistribution and fouling diagnosis, pressure-drop troubleshooting, and BESS thermal-management analysis.
As curriculum development experts for a provincial technical and vocational education authority, we built course content grounded in real testing methods, measurement discipline, and the standards engineers work to in industry. Technical training program and curriculum design for engineering organizations.
Independent review of designs, simulations, vendor claims, feasibility studies, and investment-grade technical documents — model verification and validation, stated confidence levels, documented assumptions. We take no commissions from the vendors we evaluate. If the evidence does not support the claim, the report says so.
Our doctoral research simulated a high-speed 2-stroke Rotax engine, the family that powered the MQ-1 Predator lineage, and produced a documented method for UAV propulsion prediction. Engine-cycle simulation, heavy-fuel conversion feasibility, and verification of vendor performance claims for commercial and dual-use engine OEMs. Every engagement passes an export-control screening.
Real projects for government bodies and universities, the proof behind every recommendation we give.
We designed a complete vehicle testing lab and wrote the standards it runs on, built on UNECE WP.29, the same international rulebook used in the UK and Australia to approve vehicles.
